The choice of a car seat for children is often a crucial and sometimes stressful moment for parents. The reasons for my choice
When I started looking for a car seat for N°1, several criteria were vital for me. While safety was obvious, I was also very concerned about the ease of installation and use of the seat. I had certain requirements: the seat needed to be able to be installed facing me to make it easier to install the child, and it also needed to rotate to easily switch from the rear-facing position to the forward-facing position. The AxissFix model met all these requirements and seemed ideal to me.
Installation and functionality
Installing the AxissFix seat turned out to be quite simple. The presence of Isofix anchoring points and a third fixing point (Top Tether) allowed for a secure installation in my car. Although the seat is quite heavy, its features quickly convinced me that this weight is often synonymous with sturdiness and durability. The fact that it can rotate 360° was a boon when installing N°1, as I could turn it towards me without having to contort myself. This truly changed our daily routine.

The cost can be a barrier to purchase. For the AxissFix, the price is around 549 CHF / 499 €. My investment proved justified given the quality and safety that this seat offers. Although there are cheaper seats, I preferred to invest in a reputable model. After all, my child’s safety is priceless.
Personal anecdote
One of my favorite anecdotes with the AxissFix seat concerns our summer trip to visit friends. N°1, always happy to meet his little friends, spent the whole trip chatting and singing in the back. I remember a moment when he started to fall asleep. Thanks to the reclining position of the seat, he was able to find a comfortable position to take his nap while being safe. This transformed our journey, and I still couldn’t tell what his face looked like at that moment, but I remember his little voice telling stories throughout the trip.
